Freedman is my current webcomics project. Serialized over the next four months, Freedman is a story of revenge, slavery, race, and the people history has forgotten. Or, in more bombastic terms:
At the end of the Civil War, four million people were freed from chains of bondage. One of these newly freed men, Charlie Moses, wanders the Texas countryside as he tries to right an injustice from his past. But is vengeance all there is? What does it truly mean to be free?
The first four pages are up here. Come back every week and there should be a new page to read, if I don’t die from sheer exhaustion before I finish. Care to place bets?
